A tree planting event has been organised by request of the Muhtar of Muratağa.
Trees have been obtained from the Forestry Department and will be planted on Thursday 9th January 2025.
The Martyrs Families and Veterans Association alongside people from the village, school children and other dignitaries will be present as well as ATA Committee Members and ATA Association Members.
After tree planting, we will have coffee in the village.
The event will continue with a visit to Mormenekşe WomensHandicraft Course. There will be an opportunity to buy hand crafted items should you wish.
This will be followed by a lunch at a nearby restaurant.
Date: Thursday, 9th January 2025
Venue: MURATAĞA MARTYRS CEMETARY AND MORMENEKŞE VILLAGE.
Time: Meet in Muratağa at 11.30
Cost of lunch and menu will be provided by Tuesday 7th January 2025 and those wishing to attend should reply by 14.00 Wednesday 8thJanuary 2025.

The latest visit included a donation of books along with a survey of some painting in two corridors that were water damaged and now need filling, making good and painting.
Do we have any members that have paintbrushes, filler and a few hours to spare to help clean up the areas for the children?

The ATA donated bedding for members of the basketball team who need this when touring.
Separately, some of the washrooms urgently need repairing as they have been out of action for some time in a number of cases as seen by the rubbish stored in one of the redundant showers! We have undertaken to resolve this for the association.

Directions.
From Tatlısu, turn right into Küçükerenköy. Take the first right (about 75 metres) just before Olive Woods. Follow the narrow road with a sharp left after 200 metres. Take the next right. Charlies Sports Baa is at the end on the right. From Girne, pass Esentepe and Bahçeli. Continue past the Spice Garden, and The Greenhouse, and turn left into Küçükerenköy, then after about 75 metres turn right following Tatlısu instructions above.
