This month’s ATA social gathering, on Thursday 28th August is at The Dome Hotel’s newly refurbished ANCHOR Restaurant by the sea!

VENUE: Anchor Restaurant Dome Hotel, Girne Sea Front

TIME: Gathering at 7:00 p.m. Dinner at 7:30 p.m

There will be live music starting at 8.00 p.m.

Menu:

Mezes provided

Hummus
Cacık
Beetroot
Salad for everyone to share on the table plus a bottle of water for 4 will be free of charge.

Main course options (chose):

Seabass/seabream chips
Fish and chips (cod)
Chicken shish and chips
Grilled meatballs (köfte) and chips
Şeftali Kebab and chips

Vegetarian options:

Spaghetti Napolitan
Sauteed vegetables with chips.

PRICE :

1150 TL for members

1200 TL for non-members

This is an evening meal with entertainment at a newly refurbished fabulous venue. An event not to be missed.

The ATA Social Gathering Monday July 28th A traditional Cypriot meal at Villaggio Restaurant, Zeytinlik

This is also an evening meal to keep us out of the everyday heat. We will be sitting in the garden.
It is another feast of very fresh food! The price included all three courses.

Menu is:
Mezes: (all included)
1. Mediterranean Salad
2. Cacik
3. Hummus
4. Beetroot salad
5. Grilled Hellim
Main Course meat options:-
1. Roast Lamb (Kleftico) served with potatoes, sehriye (orzo) pilaf with grated hellim on top.

1. Felafel served with chips, salad and tahini

The ATA Social Gathering on June 28th is a traditional Cypriot Meyhane experience at Gilanli Koy Meyhansei,

Karaoǧlanoǧlu Caddesi, Karaoǧlanoǧlu

This is an evening meal and has been organised by Jean Clark

It is a feast of very fresh food – enjoy the experience and come hungry!

Menu is:
15 cold meze plus 2 hot meze (cheese borek and Helim).
Followed by a choice of:-
Chicken Şiş or
Meatballs or
Spicy meatballs or
Vegetable Sauté
All served with chips and salad.
I large water for each 4 people

Arrival time: 6.30 – 7,00pm latest

Price: 1100TL members and 1200TL non members

ATA 28th May Social Event is a visit to the Cyprus Orthopaedic Disabled Association in Lefkosa.

This centre provides rehabilitation physiotherapy, prosthetics and orthotics for those people who have suffered from a medical condition or an accident. It also supplies mobility aids (wheelchairs, walking frames etc). The ATA is currently negotiating protocols to make these serices more accessible for our members.

There will be a tour of the facilities, a talk about the services and the disabled baskeball team that has just been successful in a Euopean tournament. We are also making a significant donation on the day!

Lunch will follow on site – menu to follow.

This is a very interesting venue and visit to make. It is the centre that benefits from our bottletop collections that generate wheelchairs which we donate.

ATA 28th April Social Event is a dinner at The Grapevine which is a traditional Cypriot building in the centre of Girne.

For many years this was the hub of British expat social life and lawyers who lunch when owned and run by “Jimmy” Kutlay Keço veteran of the Erenköy resistance in the 1974 war. Now run by Tugce Kortan and popular with young Cypriots and expats of all nationalities.

We have negotiated a 3 course dinner at £23 for members and £25 for non members. Payment will be converted to Lira on the day and notified to those attending who wish to pay in local currency.

Directions.From Tatlısu, turn right into Küçükerenköy. Take the first right (about 75 metres) just before Olive Woods. Follow the narrow road with a sharp left after 200 metres. Take the next right. Charlies Sports Baa is at the end on the right.
From Girne, pass Esentepe and Bahçeli. Continue past the Spice Garden, and The Greenhouse, and turn left into Küçükerenköy, then after about 75 metres turn right following Tatlısu instructions above.
