The Anglo Turkish Association Northern Cyprus (ATA) recently visited The Cyprus Turkish Orthopedic Disabled Association (KTOÖD) in Lefkoşa. The aim was to make a donation and sign a protocol.

With the protocol ATA members will be able to use the facilites of the KTOÖD under the same conditions as their members.

This includes physio therapy sessions, attending excercise classes, free foot analysis and the loan of equipment such as wheelchairs and crutches.

As well as signing the protocol the ATA madetheir  regular donation of bottle tops, which are then sold to buy wheelchairs.

The ATA, along with their sponsor DenizBank made a donation of 100.000 TL to the KTOÖD.

Gaye Özçorlu representing DenizBank was present during the handing over of the cheque. She said she was proud to represent

DenizBank, who also has a protocol with the ATA, at this important event and said DenizBank would continue to sponsor the ATA into the forseable future.

Speaking at the event Günay Kibrit, President of the KTOÖD said that he was happy to work with the ATA for the benefit of everyone in the TRNC Chairperson of the ATA Levent Özerdağ on his part said that it was a privilege to support the KTOÖD as they offer such an important service to the people of the TRNC and that the ATA support, by donating bottle tops and in other ways would continue.

Vice Chairperson and Treasurer Tim Morgan, reiterated that, as long as funds allow, the ATA would continue its support.

Kuzey Kıbrıs Türk-İngiliz Derneği/Anglo Turkish Assocition Northern Cyprus  (ATA) geçtiğimiz günlerde Lefkoşa’da merkezi olan Kıbrıs Türk Ortopedik Özürlüler Derneği (KTOÖD) ziyaret etti. Amaç hem bağış yapmak hem de protokol imzalamak idi.

Protokol anlaşması ile ATA üyeleri KTOÖD üyeleri ile aynı koşullarda kullanabilecek. Buna fizyoterapi seansları, egzersiz derslerine katılmak, ücretsiz ayak analizi ve tekerlekli sandalye ve koltuk değnekleri gibi ekipmanların ödünç verilmesi dahildir.

İki dernek arasında protokolü imzalamanın yanı sıra ATA’nın düzenli olarak, tekerlekli sandalye satın almak için şişe kapağı bağışı da gerçekleştirildi.

ATA, sponsörü olan DenizBank ile birlikte KTOÖD’ne 100.000 TL bağışta bulundu. Çek tesliminde DenizBank’ı temsilen Gaye Özçorlu bulundu. DenizBank’ı temsil etmekten gurur duyduğunu söyleyen Özçorlu, ATA ve DenizBank arasında da protokol bulunduğunu hatırlatan Özçorlu, DenizBank ATA’ya sponsor olmaya devam edeceğini açıkladı.

Etkinlikte konuşan KTOÖD başkanı Günay Kibrit ATA ile çalışmaktan mutlu olduğunu söyledi ve bu işbirliğin uzun zaman zürmesini dilediğini dile getirdi.

ATA Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı Levent Özerdağ, KTOÖD desteklemenin bir ayrıcalık olduğunu söyledi. KTOÖD önemli bir teklif sundukları için KKTC halkına hizmet ve ATA desteği, şişe kapakları bağışlayarak ve her şekilde destekçi olmaya devam edileceğini açıkladı.

Başkan Yardımcısı ve Mali İşler Sorumlusu Tim Morgan ise, fonlar izin verdiği sürece, ATA’nın KTOÖD’ne desteği devam edeceğini açıkladı.

ANGLO TURKISH ASSOCIATION OF NORTHERN CYPRUS

held on 9th March 2024

at ARUCAD UNIVERSITY, Girne

MINUTES

10:30 The ATA Chairman announced that the quorum for the meeting had not been met and that

the meeting would start at 11 o’clock.

11.00 Meeting opened. Welcome by ATA Chairman, Philip Lloyd

This was followed by a minute’s silence to remember members, family and friends who have

passed away this year.

11.04 Election of the 2024 AGM Dıvan Election was undertaken by ATA Chairman Philip Lloyd

11.06 Chairman’s Report – A comprehensive report was given about the association’s activities

during the last year, together with an update on the current status of the association, plus various

thank you greetings were given to numerous individuals in particular Debbie Bird who after four

years as Events Organiser is standing down. The chairman said that after three years in the role,

he was pleased to be able to hand over to a new chairman and committee, which he knew would

build on the successes of the last few years and deliver an assoction all members would be proud

to belong to. In particular he was looking forward in future to attending association activities as a

member rather than as an Organiser.

11.15 Treasurer’s Report – The Treasurer thanked the Audit committee for their scrutiny and

approval of the accounts, plus other individuals and business for their continued support. The

Treasurer also thanked the Association’s auditor – Ayçu Güven. A detailed explanation of the

association accounts and membership for the year 2023 was then given, along with information

about the help the association has given to local good causes, together with sponsorship details.

On the occasion of their retirement from the ATA committee, new ATA Chairman Levent Özerdağ

on behalf of the ATA, presented Philip Lloyd and Debbie Bird with gifts and tokens of appreciation

for their outstanding service over a number of years to the ATA.
