Committee members attending Tim Morgan thank you for your organisation. The raffle had some excellent prizes which was appreciated by the group. 

Gulter kuran  our guide was absolutely Excellent her commentary regarding the history of Cyprus was outstanding.

From Barbara Johnson: Second stop of our fabulous ATA trip of 5th Nov. was to Varosha (it’s Greek name) or Maras (it’s Turkish name) more commonly known as ‘the ghost town) a 7 sq kilometre abandoned suburb of Famagusta. Reopened to the public in October 2020 after laying to ruin for 46 years.
Frequented by the rich & famous, a regular haunt of Liz Taylor & Richard Burton (oh! that man’s voice no wonder she married him twice) The hottest spot on the Mediterranean during the swinging sixties.
I was lucky enough to be one of the first people allowed back in, in 2020. And so pleased I was, it had a real eeriness about it then, a mystique, that sadly after 2.2 million visitors has gone. But, still well worth a visit. Gulter as always gave us tonnes of facts & figures which I can’t remember now, after soaking up facts from our earlier stop my brain was full up!! 😀
Saw a tatty old Lillley & Skinner stiletto how I loved their shoes. Does anyone remember Louis Furman’s shoe shop? We used to go & pay him a bit each week for our Lilley & skinner shoes 🤣🤣
Finished with a lovely lunch at Fa Kebab in the walled city.

Another brilliant ATA event.

The event featured a military parade, folk dancing, speeches, and poetry readings, with the most poignant moments being the prayers for the Martyrs at the cemetery and a military gun salute.

Good celebrations, delicious food at Dillirga Restaurant amazing bunch of people old and new friends and participants. It was very good to see you all and get to know new people. Thank you all for coming and making it happen. You helped ATA raise 9000TL for good causes which is greatly appreciated

Thank you for all who organised such an interesting visit to Yeşilırmak yesterday. It was good to be involved in a Cypriot event. Very kind of the village organisation to reserve such good seats for us. Evening light not good for photography….

Wow Wow…… Another great day of ATA. What a fabulous boat trip with a wonderful group of people. A big thank you to everybody who joined us today as well as captain Ahmet and Mustafa, owner of DERYA DENIZ BOAT. Enjoyable trip, freshly cooked delicious meal. Watching the sunset and moonrise at the same time was amazing too. It was a pleasure to meet old and new friends and members.
