The friendly listening association with a heart, supporting good causes in Northern Cyprus for the benefit of everyone
Due to TRNC Government Regulations a scaled down handover ceremony was held today at the Karakum Special Needs Children’s School.
Joining association committee members at today’s ceremony were our Honorary President Erbil Arkin, Girne Mayor Nidai Güngördü, Building Contractor Resit Gokdeniz, Representatives of the Ministry of Education, School Staff, School Children and their Parents, Local Press, plus the associations major donors to the project: – Creditwest Bank, Joshua’s Woodland Adventures, The Little Society of Kyrenia, and Someone Close to the Association.
As the photographs show, as soon as the ribbons were cut and the Activity Room handed over to the School, the children couldn’t wait to use the play equipment – something they haven’t been able to do for a very long time!
Whilst today marked the official end of the associations 2020 Major Charity Project, the association through association member Hatice Kerimgil’s continuing involvement in assisting the school in the provision of much needed items to help make the children’s education pleasurable, ensures that the school is always in the association’s thoughts.
