A group of members gathered at the Nurettin Ersin Paşa Mosque, Girne, in the early afternoon and travelled by coach to Lefkoşa. The plan was to walk from the drop-off point inside the Old City to the Buyuk Han, guided by one of our new Committee members, Cemaliye Volkan. However, the coach was one of the smaller ones and was able to take us to the car park close to our destination.
Waiting for us at the Buyuk Han were Cemaliye and some other Cypriot members.
The place was quite busy but the group had a reservation at the restaurant so the members were soon relaxing and watching the other visitors until the meal arrived. Considering the numbers that the restaurant was dealing with, it did an excellent job.
After the meal, Cemaliye collected the group in a convenient space between the restaurant and the main entrance to the Buyuk Han and imparted to the group interesting information about the Han.
Free time afterwards saw the group members doing a bit of shopping or just sight-seeing until it was time to gather at the car park and return to Girne.
